Statementing

This is a process for a school based assessment which can be used to record the actions taken to discover a child's difficulties. The assessment process follows guidance in the national Code of Practice on the Identification and Assessment of Special Educational Needs. The assessment helps schools plan a programme of learning in conjunction with the child's parents.
