Helping to look after someone when you are relatively young can sometimes be far from easy or fun.

At these times, and generally, finding ways to cope and making sure you look after yourself can be essential.

Some things worth bearing in mind:
  • You don't need to be alone
  • Who can help you in coping with these caring responsibilities
  • Who could give useful advice and help with choices about your future

The West Sussex Young Carers Team can help by providing details of activities and clubs for young carers so you can have a regular break from your caring role. They can also provide information and advice on other services such as extra help in school or with finances, and much more. Young carers, parents and professionals are welcome to contact the team by phoning the Duty Worker on 01903 270300 or emailing: [email protected]
