For a few hours
Sitting schemes can give you the opportunity to take a short break for a few hours. Allowing you to do many things whilst the person you care for stays at home - including:- Do some domestic chores or some gardening
- Do some shopping
- Have a bath
- Have a hair cut and/or pamper yourself
- Take a little exercise, like a walk
- Talk uninterrupted with family or friends on the phone
- Visit with some friends
- Watch some television or read a book
- Or just get out for a few hours.
Local voluntary groups such as Crossroads provide sitting services.
