Life of a young carer

The life of a young carer is hard for most but fun for some!

Before I became a young carer I had a little baby sister until after she had her MMR, she went to bed one night and woke up as a totally different child. It was as if someone had kidnapped her and put another child in her place. It totally broke all of our hearts when we found out that she had Llando Kleffner syndrome. Llando Kleffner syndrome is a rare form of Epilepsy what it does is it short circuits the functions of her brain, she also has fits in the night. She also has lack of coordination in her hands and legs.

Now I am a young carer I have made many friends at my workshop with John, Sharon and Rikki who run the group and I am receiving lots of and I am learning about my sister's syndrome and hold hopes about her learning and living a nice life.
