Workbook for Carers
Workbook for CarersA new publication for Carers of people with language-loss follwing an injury to the brain.
The condition can occur following a stroke, head injury, brain tumour or illnesses like Meningitis or M.S. and is known in medical circles as Aphasia or Dysphasia. A book has been published called 'Workbook for Carers' which costs £10. As well as giving information on the condition, it contains practical exercises which may help a person to regain their speech or other communications skills (e.g. drawing, picture speak signing or gesture). The book has been launched by Speakability and Jeremy Hunt MP (Shadow Minister for Disabled People).
