Advocacy
Advocates are there to help put your views forward if you have a difficulty with this. Advocates will work with you to present your views in a formal or informal situation. It is the advocate's job to accurately portray what the individual wants to say and not to alter or add anything. Anyone who speaks without consulting you first is not acting as an advocate. There are advocacy schemes in many areas, but some are specifically for certain groups such as people with learning difficulties or people with mental health conditions.
