DVD - Diabetes and living
Diabetes UK has produced a free DVD for people with learning difficulties who have Type 2 diabetes.
The DVD, Diabetes - Living a healthier life, will enable people with learning difficulties to have access to the same information about the condition as people with Type 2 diabetes who do not have learning dificulities.
Diabetes UK teamed up with Speakup, a self-help advocacy charity for people with learning disabilities, to produce the DVD. It covers a range of topics including an explanation of what Type 2 diabetes is, how to prevent it, how to manage and understand the condition, and the benefits of healthy eating and physical activity.
