Mencap is the UK's leading learning disability charity working with people with a learning disability and their families and carers.

Together, we fight for equal rights, we campaign for greater opportunities and we challenge attitudes and prejudice. We also provide advice and support to meet people's needs throughout their lives.

We are an individual membership organisation, with a local network of more than 1,000 affiliated groups. Our work is shaped by what our members tell us about their needs and wishes.
