ICIS: information for life
ICIS is a registered charity that operates a specialist information service for organisations in all sectors and for individual people in West Sussex. ICIS provides timely and good quality information about services, organisations, businesses, practitioners, groups, clubs and 'helping hands' that aims to:- respond to need
- support service providers in their work
- enable people to find out 'where to go', 'what to do' and 'who can help'
ICIS information is for people of all ages living in West Sussex who are going through challenging life circumstances or have personal difficulties such as:
- physical, sensory, mental health and learning difficulties
- caring responsibilities
- difficulties due to age, poverty, exclusion, ethnic background or relationships
ICIS services include:
- Free and confidential Enquiry Line from Monday to Friday
- ICIS website, searchable online information about services that help, 24 hours a day
- West Sussex carers website, information for carers, 24 hours a day
- ICIS newsletter, distributed free to organisations and services throughout West Sussex
- Tailored sets of information and customised delivery methods for service providers.
- West Sussex Carers Emergency Alert Card Scheme enabling carers to take a break from caring, and providing peace of mind when leaving a person being cared for alone for a short while.
