You and the person you care for may be entitled to a range of financial help in the form of benefits. The regulations on these can be quite complex and do change from time to time. You can get help to see if they apply to you, and help with completing application forms. Have a look at the list of people who can help at the bottom of this page. Likewise there is legislation intended to support and protect you while you are caring. You can get help and advice on whether this can help.

Home visiting benefits advice from Littlehampton Citizens Advice Bureau Littlehampton and District Citizens Advice Bureau have two specialist Benefits Advisers who can help people claim for Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance and other DSS Welfare Benefits. The advisers will visit elderly or vulnerable clients in their own homes if they are unable to get to the bureau due to disabilities or vulnerability and will help them to complete the claim forms and give advice on other associated benefits to which they may be entitled. For more information or a referral phone Liz or Kathy on 01903 725960 (added 6.5.08)
