Invest to Save - Carers Online

This website was created as part of a project funded by Central government via the Invest to Save Budget. The project was called Carers Online. The partners in the project were Carers UK, Devon County Council (lead partner), Surrey County Council and West Sussex County Council working with ICIS.

One major product of the project is a collection of websites for carers developed by the project partners.
This website is what the West Sussex team produced. Although the project ended in June 2003, each partner has undertaken to continue to maintain these web services and participate in a sharing of continued learning and collaboration in a network of local and national web sevices for carers - with Carers UK taking lead for continuing national work on the project.
The project included a close study of 75 carers, 25 in each county, who were issued with equipment to try out. Also included is a wider study of 2000+ carers across all three counties in the form of a postal questionnaire. The University of Warwick carried out this study.
